Registered for Hajj 2027?

As announced by Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs (DMRCA) provisionally selected Hajj pilgrims are required to Open a Special Hajj Account and Deposit LKR 750,000/- before 24 July 2026 :
 
Steps to Follow

1.  Call us to check if your registration has been verified by DMRCA and if you are eligible to open the Special Hajj Account
2. Open the Special Hajj Account

A Sri Lankan who is residing in Sri Lanka	Visit one of our branches with the following documents. Identification Document (eg; National identity card or Driving Licence If you wish to include a nominee for this account, a NIC copy of the nominee is required.	Visit one of our branches with the following documents. Identification Document (eg; National identity card or Driving Licence If your address is not the same as mentioned in the NIC/driving licence, a billing proof is required. If you wish to include a nominee for this account, a NIC copy of the nominee is required.
A Sri Lankans who is living or working overseas	Send your request through email us option available in our internet banking app One of our representatives will get in touch with you to complete the account opening. If you wish to include a nominee for this account, a NIC copy of the nominee is required.	Submit your request through our online account opening platform by visiting ( bit.ly/AmanaAC) One of our representatives will get in touch with you to complete the account opening. The following documents would be required. National identity card (NIC) If local address differs from the NIC address, a billing proof is required. Sri Lankan Passport copy Foreign address proof Valid visa/permit (eg, Ikama, foreign ID, Resident permit ID ect.) Employment proof (eg, Job Contract, last 3mpnth payslips etc.) If you wish to include a nominee for this account, a NIC copy of the nominee is required.
A Sri Lankan who is living or working overseas who have dual citizenship	Same as above 'Sri Lankans who are living/working overseas' documents'	Same as above 'Sri Lankans who are living/working overseas' documents Dual Citizenship Certificate
A Minor Above Age of 15	Guardian needs to visit one of our branches to open the special Hajj account.	Submit your request through our online account opening platform by visiting ( bit.ly/AmanaAC) Parent/Guardian’s National identity card (NIC) If your address is not the same as mentioned in the Parent/Guardian’s NIC, a billing proof is required. Minor’s Birth certificate. If available, minors NIC

Debits/Withdrawals

All debits and withdrawals from this account will be carried out strictly based on instructions received from the DMRCA, and solely for payments related to the Hajj pilgrimage.

3.  Deposit LKR 750,000/- to the Special Hajj Account on or before 24 July 2026

• This advance deposit is required to facilitate payments to the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
• Withdrawals from the account will be made based on instructions of DMRCA.
