Reaffirming commitment to upholding information security standards, Amana Bank has once again achieved successful affirmation of its ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification. A world recognized accreditation for information protection and security, the ISO certification was bestowed by Bureau Veritas Sri Lanka, an accredited body of the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), in lieu of the management of information security pertaining to IT services and infrastructure provided by the Bank’s Information Technology Department and Disaster Recovery Site, after conducting an independent and thorough system review and audit.

ISO/IEC 27001:2013 is a specification that enables certification in Information Security Management Systems and is the highest certification benchmark for information security management globally. The evaluation conducted by Bureau Veritas encompassed a meticulous review of the Bank’s risk management frameworks, operational processes and security controls, assuring customers, shareholders, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders that Amana Bank has implemented effective information security measures, ensuring the availability, integrity and confidentiality of customer information.
