Badulla welcomes Amana Bank

Amana Bank further expanded its branch network on 2 May 2013 with the opening of its 21st branch in Badulla, located at No. 22, Lower Kings Street, Badulla. With the opening of the Badulla branch, the Bank marked its initial presence in the Uva Province of Sri Lanka. The opening ceremony was graced by the Mayor of Badulla, Hon Upali Nissanka Gunasekara, Amana Bank's Managing Director/CEO Mr Faizal Salieh, Chief Operating Officer, Mr Mohamed Azmeer, members of the Corporate Management Team, other invitees and residents of the locality.

Addressing the gathering, Hon Upali Nissanka Gunasekara said "I warmly welcome the presence of Amana Bank in the Badulla town. Together with the citizens of Badulla, I look forward to the Bank providing its unique model of banking to the residents of the area".

During his speech, Mr Salieh said "We recognize the growing demand for our banking products and services in this region and in response to this demand, we are happy to have arrived in Badulla today and open our doors to the people of this area. This region has shown considerable growth in its agricultural and SME industries and I am sure that these businesses can benefit from the value proposition our unique banking model offers based on the principles of Equity, Fairness and Justice. Our business strategy for the consumer and SME sector is very much aligned to that of the Government's strategy for these sectors and the way in which we are transact banking is truly value-based"

Customers of Badulla can now access services such as Current accounts, Savings accounts, Term Investment accounts, Foreign Currency accounts, Children's Savings accounts, Housing Finance, Leasing facilities, SME Banking, Corporate Banking, Safety deposit lockers, Trade Services and Treasury Services.
