Amana Bank PLC Sri Lanka was recognised with the Gold Award for Entity of the Year at the much celebrated IFFSA Awards, which recognises the non-interest based Islamic Banking & Finance industry amongst South Asian countries, including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Maldives. The Bank went on to further win the coveted Gold Award for Bank of the Year in South Asia as well as the Silver Award for Deal of the Year, owing to the Bank financing a private owned cargo and passenger airline operation.
